The CTCU Foundation was established in 2016 to serve as “A Community Cornerstone” within the communities of our field of membership. In a continuous demonstration of the credit union philosophy “people helping people,” the Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life in these communities by investing in the citizens of today and tomorrow. The main areas of focus for accomplishing the mission include:
- Financial Literacy & General Education
- Community Development & Empowerment
- Community Charities & Non-Profit Organizations
- Other Charitable Purposes
CTCU Foundation Philosophy
The Foundation will provide resources to charitable, educational and civic outreach efforts that parallel our mission of financial literacy education, and directly support organizations that provide resources to the less fortunate in the communities we serve.
A Commitment to the Community is a tradition the Credit Union began in 1953. The CTCU Foundation honors this tradition by strengthening the “Community Cornerstone” for future generations.
Membership
The CTCU Foundation operates independently of Cooperative Teachers Credit Union and is managed by a volunteer board of directors. As a member of the Foundation, you will be eligible for Credit Union membership and invited to attend the Credit Union’s Annual Meeting and events.
A Foundation membership due $5.00 is all it takes to join. The CTCU Foundation is a 501© 3 organization; membership dues and all donations are tax-deductible for those who itemize deductions.
Your support of the Foundation will help create a stronger financial future for individuals and our community.
